maxfli5o 10-05-2007 09:15 AM

Yeah when they offered me the class they asked if I would need travel and I said yes.

how old are you by the way? Just curious. I liked my old airline way of deciding seniority... lowest last 4 of SSN.

Joeshmoe 10-05-2007 09:59 AM

36 so I assume I'll be close to the top end of the seniority list in that class. I could be wrong.

HercDriver130 10-05-2007 10:03 AM

I dont know about the status of but one of the other 5 who interviewed with me. He was turned down.

I am 44 so suspecting I will probaby be the oldest but ya never know.

jacksjj 10-05-2007 10:10 AM

Its by age in class.

Nice. 2 guys in my interview group were turned away after testing

HercDriver130 10-05-2007 10:13 AM

All 6 of us went to the interviews after the testing... 4 took the sim profile. One of the guys who didnt do the sim also didnt get hired.... so hard to tell.

maxfli5o 10-17-2007 04:30 PM

I'd like to stay on the Shuttle side but since I was one of the last assigned that class I'm outta luck if there aren't enough volunteers.

Well I was offered this class on Oct 2 and I am the low man on the totem pole (24 out of 24) if that helps.

TankerBob 10-17-2007 07:45 PM

I was offered CHQ today. but I would like to volunteer for that republic class

cbire880 10-17-2007 07:46 PM

Call Linda or Kim. You never know. I'm betting they'll say yes.

HercDriver130 10-18-2007 12:02 AM

Yea, call Kim D., she seemed very open to move class dates around as long as they were still meeting their needs.

Bob....did you get a firm class date from them for CHQ..... just curious.

ScaryKite 10-18-2007 01:55 AM

you all can have my spot, i am putting in my two weeks today! Or I might just get fired for going home early! Either way I win!

HercDriver130 10-18-2007 02:36 AM

U serious Scary.... where are you moving on too?

Joeshmoe 10-18-2007 06:02 AM

So are they asking folks to move from S5 to RW because there are too many in the S5 class or not enough in the RW class?

basically i just want any job that I dont have to stay in hotels and answer to 8 dollar an hour, uneducated, ghetto moron crew schedulers from indianapolis. I honestly like this job a lot, but RAH has some serious issues when it comes to crew scheduling and crew planning! TSA looked like UPS compared to chautauqua!

i'm really talking out of me arse on this one and I havent made any rash decisions yet. But after the events that transpired this week on reserve I am definately considering a new gig! I wouldn't exactly say that TSA was that much better than CHQ, but they were definately more organized and TSA was hands done more efficient. My QOL was much better commuting to STL for TSA than beeing based at home with these crap schedules here at CHQ! I mean 81 hours with only 13 days off, no cancellation pay, constantly beeing reassigned, 3 hour sits every where we go! Woot Woot! Sign me up! I should have went to SKywest!

Chautauqua sorry...

GoingdaDistance 10-18-2007 05:15 PM

Tanker,
Would Linda give you the Republic Class?

HercDriver130 10-18-2007 06:13 PM

Or Shuttle...on 11/27? Really, look at the bases you would want and go from there. I do know they were looking for CHQ guys as early as this coming monday.

Get that seniority number..

wally24 10-19-2007 03:56 AM

If you were to get hired by Republic for the 170, can you switch to the Shuttle side of things at a later date, before the Captain upgrade? I thought there was a seat lock on the airplanes for the 145/170, but how does it work with switching certificates for the same airplane?

Thanks

FamousLastWords 10-19-2007 05:14 AM

To my knowledge there is no switching of certificates as an FO, regardless of equipment.
