Default Trip trading at 9E

Just wondering if there is any formal way to do this or not. Also, is it frowned upon by management or is it allowed as long as the trips get covered with no issues

right now it is pretty easy.. just call scheduleing and tell them which trips you want to trade and usually its yours, as long as it doesn't create a 30/7 or 100/1 , etc, etc... management doesn't care, and they don't even know about it.. they wont let you just drop a bunch of trips, but if all you want to do is swap some stuff around then go for it.

I just swapped a trip this week. Both were two day trips, and were similar in time. I didn't have any problems though.

If you need something swapped you can easily go on the company msg board and swap with somebody. It doesn't even need to be fair when you swap with someone- just legal. Now dropping and swapping through scheduling and open time needs to be fair (roughly the same amount of time covered) to get done.

It depends on what you want to drop and pick up (from open time) if you want to drop a string of CDO to pick up some 2-4 day trips you might have a hard time. I know i have a hard time when i want to do something like that.

In MSP There's a trip swap/drop/pickup form folder that's on top of our V-files. fill a form out and put it in there. I don't know where the folder is in DTW or MEM.

there are bulletin boards in ops in both DTW and MEM. Also the company pilot forum makes it easy to post for all to see.
