I take cans of canned chicken (tuna will work in lieu of chicken) with the pull-tab top and ritz crackers. When I am at the airport, I go and grab a handful of mayonaise and relish packets from a resident vender and voila! Instant chicken salad on crackers. It's cheap, non-perishable, and way better than alot of things you could be eating.

Either keilbosa (sp?) or spicy sausage stuffed in pita bread. It's great cold, or heated. Pita bread also works great for lintels pretty much any other precooked dish you can stuff in a pocket!

They are, but that's still quite a bit cheaper than eating in the airport. You can pick them up for around $1.50 each if you shop around. REI has a huge stock if you have one in twon. They're filling and good for you. Great for a meal replacement.

The Kroger where I live has them for $1 a piece and a pretty good selection. I have heard that Sam's Club has them for cheaper but less variety.

And yes, they are good. Lot's of different flavors. If I can't get a meal, 2 of those and maybe a piece of fruit will do the trick.

LOL, biscoff cookies are the best thing about jumpseating on DAL/ASA/Comair! I actually loved them so much I ordered a box online a few years ago.
anyways I like to bring loads of clementines in my lunch bag.. small, easy to peel, tastes awesome and makes the cockpit smell nice and citrusy.

Why not? It's money on a paycheck, and while it's not specifically part of your hourly rate it sure would be nice to save and help out that first year pay. Nobody says that you have to spend it all.

I am a cooking machine. Favorite to pack is probably homemade pizza, followed by texas chili and jambalaya. All pack pretty well, and are way cheaper/healthier than eating out all the time.

You can buy the Biscoff cookies at the local Kroger around here. They are in the bakery section tucked away in a corner. Any Kroger should have them.
