And they don't stink up the airplane? Or are we talking only at the motel on overnights? I'd be afraid of having tuna cans or pouches hanging out in the cockpit for the remainder of a flight after lunch.

I like those chicken breast cups... not the $0.89, but the ones that are $1.90 or so... Chex Mix, Special K Cereal bars, Small rice cakes (cheddar), and other things like that. You can stay full and eat semi healthy without spending all your money.

I know its a weight loss place, so what?
Someone mentioned this food to me once and now I live off of it when I in a pinch. They come in little packets. All you do is add hot water, microwave is better though. if I can get some veggies or salad, i pour it over them. Tastes like beef macoroni and cheese. Packs away like army rations. High in protein and comes out to be about 2 bucks a meal.

This ones pretty good too but not as good as the one above.

spaghetti, beef jerky, trail mix, nuts, tuna, blah blah. The list goes on and on. Anything that reheats good is a good choice. Cook up some chicken and throw it in ziplock bags.
Also, to the coffee maker stories... You can cook ramen, soups, quesadillas (wash the bottom of the coffee maker first), oatmeal.. be creative!
I'm usually too lazy to pack stuff other than beef jerky and some peanuts or almonds. Take a thing of tuna for at the hotel. I usually just eat the food served on our longer flights, and then at restraunts / terminals.

Do your CA/FO/FA a favor and save it for the hotel. If you're looking for some quick, cheap and reasonably healthy protein, try beef or turkey jerky with the lowest fat and sodium content you can find. Most are low in fat, high in protein, easy to share and NOT stinky.
