Oh, so Parker didn't want to buy Delta with US Airways funds, but rather with a portion of his salary! It all makes sense now.
Disgusting, especially when you look at how some of these carriers are doing. JO really gets more money than UA, Alaska, AA, and AirTran? Jeez, that's the biggest eye opener, IMHO.

Here is some more warm and fuzzies, http://www.ombwatch.org/article/articleview/2166/1/215/ If its not going to labor who does it go to? Oh yeah stock buybacks, http://www.secinfo.com/d11MXs.u1qHe.d.htm (Note, the 60,000,000 dollar stock buyback) Hummmm, what is 60,000,000 dollars divided by 2700 pilots? 22,222.22 per pilot.
Management: "why give pilots any more money, they dont ask for it right"? "Just tell them to hold tight, because we still cannot afford that cost of living increase thing".....

Not positive but my best guess would be that its just salary. JO's compensation is infinitely higher that $1.6M. Now, if this illustration doesn't spurn the pilot groups to ask for more $$$$ then I have no idea what will.

Since stock options are the areas that these executives are really making the bulk of their money, does anyone think it wise or even feasible if the pilot groups started to demand this as part of our compensation? Or is that already done?
