Am I going to get grilled during an interview?

Probably but just be totally honest and up front about it and whatever you do DON'T try and say it was this or that. Own up to it, take full responsibility for it and tell 'em it was a total learning experience. Thats what they are looking for in folks who have speeding tix.

When I was a police officer a guy in town earned three speeding tickets from me.

He was hired by Southwest within a six months of the last one.

I think SWA actually requires speeding tickets. They need to know that you aren't afraid of driving fast, especially on taxiways. ;)

A speeding ticket shouldn't even be an issue. Disclose it when they ask, and the interviewers will likely move right along to the next thing.

This is correct, as long as you don't have an extensive long-term record of moving violations.

Had 2 speeding tickets and a "failure to yield" (California boy "California-Stopped" a stop sign, sue me:D) when I interviewed at Pinnacle, Horizon, ASA and ExpressJet. If I remember correctly (its been a couple years), they all asked for a copy of my driving record but only ASA actually brought it up in the interview. I was offered jobs at all of them except Horizon. You have nothing to worry about.
