It really sucks facing a strike, especially for those on 9E's FO wages because it's hard to build much of a strike fund when you're making $24/hr. Voting yes is the best way to ensure that you never actually have to strike; an underwhelming yes vote will tempt management to let a strike happen in hopes that they can bust the union, while a 95% yes vote sends a strong signal as to the unity of the pilot group - the ultimate ace in the hole that you don't mind Phil getting a peek at.
Just 2 cents from someone outside looking in.

In my opinion, it is going to take someone to strike before getting our pay and work rules up. I have spoken with people from American that are ready to strike if management doesn't want to play nice. This is one case where I will admit to "riding on the coat tails" of those willing to strike. Best of luck and you guys have my support.

why the sudden change of heart koolaid? i figured youd throw in another cheapshot about how much better skywest is. so i commend you on your professionalism
best of luck to our fellow pilots at pinnacle. and remember, you know what to do to anyone who crosses that picket line if youre released to strike.

No change of heart. In my opinion, the only way these companies are going to listen to reason is by threat of a strike. Even if we had a union, our pilots would never even think about striking. Like many SkyWest guys have said before, apparently upon deaf ears, we aren't against unions. We just don't see the benefit that it would have provided at SkyWest. And ALPA's RECENT track record hasn't been good enough to bring on a union at our airline.
I don't want to see anyone go on strike, but I certainly applaud the bravery accompanied with doing so. Like I said, someone is going to have to stand up and help us all out.

best of luck to all of you
I am curious to see the outcome since we are all connected now..with payscales and workrules below par at CJC and a union vote coming again possibly in August CJC could end up seeing themselfs going down the same path.
PCL management may have their hands full in the coming year
