It really sucks facing a strike, especially for those on 9E's FO wages because it's hard to build much of a strike fund when you're making $24/hr. Voting yes is the best way to ensure that you never actually have to strike; an underwhelming yes vote will tempt management to let a strike happen in hopes that they can bust the union, while a 95% yes vote sends a strong signal as to the unity of the pilot group - the ultimate ace in the hole that you don't mind Phil getting a peek at.
Just 2 cents from someone outside looking in.

Best of luck guys. If your HR department hadn't ticked me off so bad after the interview I might be one of you.

Well I say strike on!
I just got shot down for an interview with 1350/40 and a 4 year bachelor's degree in aircraft systems management. With all the problems they are having filling FO slots and the impending strike, they said I needed 200 multi or go to a bridge program.
I'm still paying my student loans so I can't justify the cost of a bridge program.

• 1000 hours total flight time (Preferred)
• 200 hours multi-engine time (Preferred)
Although it says preferred those are the published mins, you are entitled to nothing in this world. You were not a little shy, you were alot shy on multi. This in no way has any affect on your piloting skills as I am sure you are a good stick but dont hate the company because you dont meet the mins.
