Thank you for verifying this for me. I was flying through MSP tonight and thought I saw the A380, but I didn't have much time to look because I had 10 minutes to make my connection. Before I saw this thread I was questioning my medical. phew

Not likely, if the dollar continues on its current path, when the A350 comes out you will be able to buy 3-4 787s for the price of 1 A350.

The dollar will soon be dropped as a relevant currency. The financial shenanigans of the past years have undercut the strength of the US dollar. Once lost from the world stage I doubt it will come back.

Well, my brother's PhD in economics came from UW-Madison. He gets this stuff.

The CEO of airbus said the exchange rate has reached the painful threshold, and has wiped out 70% of profits from US buyers. Don't you read the USAToday, what kind of pilot are you?

Yeah I'm not too sure the dollar will be dropped from the world currency stage. Thats a bit of a bold prediction.

Well, it won't be totally dropped. But I don't think it will always be the currency of choice for major international transactions. We'll see. But the weakness of the dollar and the shaky foundations of the US economy (massive personal and government debt, lack of a manufacturing base, etc.) raise serious questions about the long-term health of the US as a major player internationally.
