So, we are to be replaced by cyborgs I guess:

I doubt even that brain could negotiate better pay.

I'll be really impressed when it realizes it won't make any money in this industry and opt for an other career.

I think I need to raise the BS flag on this one.

Nope, not BS. There's the article from the university itself. Although, its not nearly as sophisticated as what people are interpreting it as. The "brain" is just a bunch of neurons, it doesn't have a personality. They didn't extract something's entire brain and hook it up to a computer. Its a simple pitch and roll autopilot(which is not hard to make btw). Far less sophisticated than what is driving our airplanes right now. What is impressive is using living tissue as a computational device. There is a lot of potential to improve computing capabilities and speeds to make all sorts of improvements. Might even be able to figure out to manage all those crazy random processes like the weather.

Did somebody watch that terrible "Stealth" movie one to many times? Although, Jessica Biel in a bikini can have an effect on one's judgment.

I guess that movie did have one redeeming quality.

Lets hope John Smith never gets comfortable enough in the air to let a grown-brain fly him from A to B!!

This experiment is not good for my job-security

The brain in question has less computation power than a digital watch. It's only doing what vacuum-tube autopilots were doing for 60 years ago.

It has no judgement.
