They're getting rid of the ATRs so they don't have to pay for the heavy checks. I don't know why there is so much complaining about getting the ATR. I jumped for joy when i got it. Same pay for less work.Training department is awesome. We're having a blast in systems while the RJ guys are clicking away. From what I heard being on the ATR is a big party, and its shown so far.

Thats too bad they are getting rid of them. The ATR is a much better plane than the crj. Carries almost as many people, two to three times the cargo, can get in and out of fields half the length of the crj, teaches you how to actually FLY, and burns half the fuel. Its a great airplane and it will be sad to no longer see it around.

Agreed, I'd rather fly the ATR than the 200 and wait for a decent line on the 700

Any idea as to who may be getting these a/c or where they're headed?

Who's got SJS? Everyone on here has been talking about how much they love dirty old turboprops.

If you where being sarcastic, my apologies.

-Edit-

Well if so then I was mistaken and I apologize.

For anybody trying to decide what to bid in indoc, dont base your decision on what seems "cool". Flying is flying, and when you are going to do it every day, its the crews that make it fun. I can vouch for the captains on the atr being a blast to fly with.
