This happens almost every day. I think the Aeroflot guys are the worst. I try to avoid JFK like the plauge.

After listening to these recordings, I'm finding myself waking up in the corner, naked in the fetal position, sucking my thumb.

I always pad 2 extra hours on the ground when I'm there and a venti mocha from Starbucks to calm the nerves.

Was that you I saw over at Terminal 2 riding around on the bagaage belt.... Kidding.

Anyways, I was based out of Kennedy for 100 years with TWA and then TransMeridian (Travelspan). This may sound kinda goofy, but one thing that helped me "get around" the airport was to take a tour of the control tower (pre 9/11). The controllers up there were cool and explained all the air space constraints in their busy segment of NYC.

I was able to better plan flights into and out of there afterwards..i.e knowing how high you needed to climb before a turn on course, when they could descend you and keep you clear of LGA arrivals etc.

I don't know if tower tours are available post 9/11, but worth a shot.

Ok, back to my cave...

Not that I'm arguing with you personally DAL4EVER, but I never understood that feeling towards JFK. Don't we get paid by the minute? There's no use getting aggravated and raising your blood pressure over it. Just go with the flow, and enjoy the feeling of getting paid more than scheduled block while sitting in a 2 hour line for takeoff

Now, if your trying to commute home.. or were referring to the 3rd world country you have to push through at Gates 23/25 in Terminal 2... I hear ya loud and clear.
