Xmas eve ends in MSY. 24hrs later i head back to ORD to catch a deadhead to IND. wifey's gonna pick me up and in theory we'll be at my parents in SDF before it turns 12/26 on the calendar.

Its funny how things work.... looks like im sitting reserve now on chirstmas o what fun!! :D

510am report in ALB to start the day on the 25th, get done on the early side though unless JFK screws things up; looks like the 26th and 27th off though so I'll take it for my first working Christmas.

Im guessing this is my last X-mas home for a while... I know how all of you feel though, esp those in Iraq. I spent the last 2 xmas's in the middle east. Just remember this is the career we chose, so gotta be somewhat happy. Hope all of you that are flying have at least a somewhat merry christmas

Mechanical delay in LAX now...missing the last flight home tonight out of ORD. Guess I won't be getting home until morning :mad:

i spent yesterday adn part of today in BOS w my GF and her fam,ily, then took a bus here to PWM this morning to spend it w/ my family....gotta take a 630AM fligth out of here on ASA back to ATL for a noon report, but at least I got a couple days to really enjoy it.....plus ASA has a turkey dinner in Concourse C Ops tomorrow so i will certainly take advantage of that.....Merry Christmas all and fly safe!!!

I called this morning (aggressive pickup) to grab a 4 day starting on x-mas. I would be stuck out here on reserve anyway, so may as well fly!

Anyone done that overnight?....I have 24 hours there. Hopefully theres a liquor store open!

Luckily I have 5 days off over New Years, so that will be fun!

On 23rd end up in HPN for 32 hr l/o, then Christmas morning have 5:00 AM show to end up in SAV for 19 hr l/o

Merry Christmas! Just had a nightmare trying to get home! Land in LAX yesterday to find our inbound a/c is delayed out of ORD (no surprise there)...sit in LAX for three hours, head to SAT and finally back to ORD just in time to miss the last flight to NY...after United cancelled a bunch (no idea why - they had mainline cxl's all over the Country yesterday)...including their FFOD this morning.

Ended up getting a seat on American...I have never seen a scowl like I did on the Gate agents face when I requested the J/S. What a miserable guy. The Crew was miserable, the FA's were miserable. I was just happy to get on an Airplane...! Figured I'd win some friends with Donuts (after all, America runs on Dunkin), so I brought a dozen to the a/c with me...and it didn't even win me one of the many open first-class seats :mad:

I don't care how lousy working Christmas is...we still need to at least pretend to be happy LoL. Please smile next time you pass a pax or fellow Pilot!
