Default Any cheap airport hotels in Fresno?

I figure some SKW commuters must know of some good places to stay in FAT. I'm thinking of picking up a few trips there on Sked+ but a lot of them either start super early or end at midnight.

You guys got any leads for hotels in the $30 - $60 with airport shuttles? Thanks in advance!

When I was based there the Holiday Inn, which is within walking distance from the terminal (2 minute walk at most), was offering rates around $40/night. Most of the crew members doubled up and if you call the crew lounge and have the secretary post a note on the board I'm sure you can find a roommate. Although I'd have no problem paying an extra $20 for one night in order to not deal with the unknown roommate issues you might have.

Unforutnately the Holiday Inn stopped that rate a while back, it's now like $80 per night. Although I have heard that if you book through their corporate 800 number instead of directly through the hotel you will sometimes still get the $39 rate if you talk to the right person. I have also heard that the Picadilly Inn down the street offers a good crew rate, but have never tried that one. There are, however, enough people offering crash pads at reasonable rates. I currently know of one crewmember that offers a $15/night rate with no minimum nights required, just pay as you go. Not bad and comes with a bed to sleep in as well.

NO! Plan on paying $79+ taxes on just about any hotel room in FAT especially near the airport. You can actually get cheaper rooms at crew rates in LAX and SFO than in FAT. Figure that one out? Good luck! Check on SWOL under CrewMember>CrewInfro>Accommodations for rates, most of them are up-to-date, but not always! Then call the hotel and ask for the Skywest rate.

Thanks a lot guys! I heard about the holiday inn through a guy I'm flying with right now. I'll call the places mentioned and see what the deal is.
