I work at PSA. Its alright but the sched's suck BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try and get on with Republic first. You'll wish you did when you park next to those 170/175's. Better sched's, airplanes, bases, pay, bidding, shorter upgrade. PSA's upgrade is coming down but it's not at 2 years yet and that's what a few Republic capts told me the upgrade was on the 170. The only reason I don't is I don't feel like going through training again when I'm already buliding jet time.

Upgrade not quite down to 2 years yet. I have been here for almost 3 and can't say when it will happen....March...April...

I would only come to PSA if you live in one of our bases. Otherwise look for a regional airline that is closest to home. Being owned by a major airline has its drawbacks. The only advantage is that you get a higher priority when you are jumpseating on your parent airline then some republic pilot. But that is it.
Management wanted to bring 900's to PSA but they didn't want to pay us any more than what we are currently making. In your first year you will make under 20K at PSA. Now tell me who is being greedy? Anyway don't come here looking for a quick upgrade. Our schedules suck. After being here 3 years i rarely get 12 or more days off. This month i got 10.

In your first year how will you make under 20k? You get paid $23/hr with 75hr guarantee and anything over that is time and half; and if you rarely get 12 days off a month, that must mean you can work a lot to make more money.

When I interviewed there they told us to expect to make 23 to 24k in the first year... I guess I'll find though;)

Awesome! Better bring some de-icing fluid and chains. j/k

Remember what I said about keeping it on the DL. ;)

Also, I hope you have those items I sent you memorized.

"Um, DAY won't work.

The whole point was an airline with a base I can drive to.

:([/quote]"

It will be VERY hard to get initially. Hopefully we will be able to bid into it in a few months or so. However, welcome to forever on reserve with three hour sits in between flights.
