Hey have you guys been hearing anything in class about what is going on with US Airways and the price of oil. It seems there is alot of talk about airlines reducing CRJ200 use, slowing of hiring, ect. I havnt heard much about US Airways and any plans that might be coming from them regarding the mess accumulating in the industry, other then the possible CRJ900 entering service with PSA......I am also in the PSA Jan 21st class....

The VP of flt ops came and talked to our class and regarding the price of oil, he said that as long as all the airline had to pay the same price for it, they could still be competitive. So I guess it's just a matter of will customers keep buying tickets with this fuel surcharge...
BTW
The FAA's website says they have a plan to start using alternative fuels http://www.faa.gov/news/fact_sheets/...m?newsId=10112
hopefully this will help...

I was reading the gouge and saw this "You are flying on the 360 radial TO the vor, you have to hold on the 220 radial left turns, type of entry (teardrop)"

Shouldn't that be parallell?

seafeye 01-12-2008 01:13 PM

Thats what i would do...Go straight to the VOR and turn to a heading of 220. Then one minute later right turn right back to the VOR. Then start the left turn dance.

Ok, Just making sure that I had that right. I want to get all the questions right. This is is the place that I want to work.

Just curious, what made you choose PSA?

Blueskies21 01-13-2008 05:49 AM

brade,
I was there for the Jan 3 interview and on our test it wasn't left turns, therefore it's teardrop. If it is left turns you're correct it's parallel. Also if any PSA guys have suggestions on things I should also be studying besides the packet they sent us for the Feb 4 class.
Thanks
