The Jan. 30th class is still going on, they have just decided to reduce the size and put some people in a CRJ class.

It seems that once you get hired into the Republic holdings system you can upgrade to which ever aircraft your senority will allow. So if your in the 170 and you can hold Captain in the 145 you can transfer to it. I have heard that some of the 170/175 guys and galls have a little problem going from a full automated computer controled a/c to a more do it your self type plane like the 145.
-a 145 FO can take 170 CA when seniority will hold it -an FO on anything CANNOT take FO on anything else as all FO payrates are the same -a Republic 170 CA cannot take Shuttle 170 CA as it is not a pay increase -a 145 CA can take 170 CA after sitting through the 2 year seat lock |
How about holding STL on CHQ right out of class. Possible?

always love hearing how "non-automated" the 145 is....really gotta jumpseat on one of those 170's to see if it really flies itself for me....everything i want in the 145 is only a button press away.

student pilot here... just a quick question
When you apply for Republic, do you have an interview with them and then they put you into one of the three (republic, chautauqua, shuttle america)? or each subsidiary is independent and has its own interview and application process?? |
