Just goes to show that everyone here is ready to shut it down than keep working at this cluster of an operation. I just got done with a 4 day and had 3 legs depart on time. Everything was behind due to MX, plus one gate return to have the bag recounted because we had 4 different sets of cargo nums. I have never needed two days off so bad.

These boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do.

Ruh-roe! What does this mean for those in training/soon to be OE? Do we walk too? Cause I mean... ya know no protection and not even APLA protects those in training... so what happens with that? Have they stated that they will not return to work for new hires as well? I realize they will not return for the less than 1 yr guys. But what does that mean for the guys/gals not even at the OE point?

Thoughts?

are you in training right now?? if you are then it means you still have a while so don't worry about it. we are going to ask to be released. they will have to take time to decide ,we are still waiting on a colgan decision and our 900 rates, so that tells you how long all this takes. and the mec has said that they will not return to work till everyone is back on property. i honestly don't think it will come to that. i think management is going to cave soon. especially if they come back that we can walk. they want to grow delta, they want to fly 900's for nw, they want united flying, and it will take a good contract for them to get all they want.. i think they were honestly just trying to squeeze every penny they could out of us before they finally cut a deal.

900's for NW....why would you think that? I think if anything Nw is looking at getting rid of a regional they own Mesaba and Compass...and Compass will probably merge with Mesaba in the near future. With NW giving the 900 contract to Mesaba and Pinnacle haveing to give up some 200's i think your going to see more of the same.

This brings up another question. Would employees in their probationary year be at any more risk of losing their job for walking than people off probation. I would assume they're equally protected, but I've never heard anyone discuss that aspect. I don't mean to be off topic....just curious. Thanks guys. Best of luck to all the Pinnacle guys/gals out there!!! It makes me quite happy to see an employee group willing to drive a hard and serious bargain.

There are provisions in place for probationary pilots. We (the pilot group) will not go back to work (in the event of a strike) if probationary pilots are held "hostage". In order to be covered you need to have completed OE and operated 1 revenue flight.

i guess you didn't read my latest and greatest post on pinnacles future . starting february 1st we will be flying a delta 900 between atl and mem. this is against the rules of the contract we have with nwa. they said we can fly for another carrier but cant fly into one of nwa's main hubs. the rumor is that nwa is going to relax memphis with us if we fly 900's for them out of mem. obviously nwa is going to get something out of this since we are competing with them on a delta flight out of mem and the only way we can fly that delta 900 into mem is by them telling us its ok (don't think that didn't come at a price).
