All kidding aside. If you want to improve and get rid of "crappy regionals" as you put it... Don't apply and accept jobs from them... At this time, you sir are part of the problem not the solution.
Go fly cargo, part 135 air tours ect.... There are ways to build time rather than settle for a "crappy regional". No excuses... That's what GoJet'ers do to justify their job....
Again, pot meets kettle! Didn't you interview with Republic? And of course, how can we forget the whole Colgan thing.

Shirley!!!!! welcome back! I missed you.

Ah I did... Interviewed at republic as a tune up for SkyWest with absolutely no intention of taking the job. The interview was a joke and a waste of time. Colgans contract didn't put them in the realm as lower paid pilot groups but thanks for playing

Cargo doesn't build time as fast. I looked into it before C5 and was even offered a job flying the ATR.But at 300 hours a year, christ it take 2 years just to get 500 SIC. No excuses, but in the real world you have to play the game according to how hings are, not how they should be. Unfortunately what matters most in this industry, is hours, period.

Your probly shocked anyone would let me fly an ATR with a DUI.

Good luck finding a "better job" espcially with your DUI. Even Gulfstream turned you down!

from a casual observer who doesnt know you. Posting crap like this is really shabby .I dont need to know someone got a DUI and you shouldnt be posting crap like that .
Posting crap like that speaks volumes about you and these boards are far from anonymous . My 2 cents !!

Theres 4 kind's of people regarding DUI's
1- someone who never drinks or never drinks and drives
2-someone who drinks and drives and doesnt get caught
3- someone who drinks and drives and gets caught
4- someone who gossips about someone else who got a DUI

Simple economics, if you offer cheap tickets and have a large amount of pilots and planes, you can't pay very much. If you have less pilots and planes, you can charge more and make it more of a scare resource, then you can pay the pilots more. There are way too many pilots, planes, and airlines these days. It's getting better, but it has a ways to go. There's no magical "economic recovery" that is going to fix the regional problem and how out of hand it is. The only real way for things to get better is for a bunch of airlines to go out of business. Something has got to give. It won't be better for the pilots that get furloughed or fired, but the current industry is at the expense of the former classic "airline pilot".

The use the one at AIMS community college in Greeley, CO. It is open to the public for rental. I think AIMS has a website for it.
