Don,
I'd hardly call it "spam". Since when did asking a simple question about an airline become "spam". I'd be happy to answer anyone's questions about my airline, for better or worse.
As for trying to scare anyone? Please.. If anything I was skeptical about the original poster's intent as clearly indicated in my initial post.

Wow...
I said I would answer any questions anyone had about ExpressJet. If someone wants to start a thread about Express, I'd be more than willing to give honest, non-emotional answers unlike some people.
Now, back to the topic ummkay?

You are just reposting something that was posted by a bitter skywest pilot who was on the alpa organizing commite that claims that the upgrade time at skywest has increased 600%. When it is obvious to anyone who works at skywest with an internet connection that the most junior captain was hired late april of 07.

Sorry you had took such offense to it. That wasn't my intent.
As for the internet giving an accurate depiction of upgrade times? It's not a reliable resource. Someone who looks at ExpressJet and believes our upgrade times are still around 2.5 years (according to APC ONT CA July 2005) is misinformed especially with the recent upgrade cancellations.

BTW, junior upgrade award at SKW (as of this week) was an April 2007 hire...that's 9 months, not 6 years or even 1 year. But I don't think it will stay that low.

Yes, hiring will continue, upgrades will continue, folks will keep moving on (one, at least, already moved to a major from my Feb 2007 class), and the company will keep hiring to plan for future growth.
No big secrets there.
The ALPA committee folks in general have "reintegrated" back into the fold. Of course, ALPA is still sueing SKW, and there's a few who professed the "sky is falling".
Maybe they either believe their own rhetoric , as this captain claims with 6 year upgrades, or they're defending their "manhood" by saying what they wish would come true to further their agenda.
It's all a genuine guess what the future really holds in ANY endeavor, but if I were a betting man, I'd bet on closer to 1 to 3 year upgrades, than 6.

Seriously...you almost have to wonder if someone spreads a lot of negative info about a company they DON'T work for, that that someone might be trying to scare people away from applying to make the odds better for their own jump TO that company. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen it happen on APC!!!
