Well then I stand corrected and accept defeat. I specifically asked this during the interview, before upgrades were where they are now and I was expecting to be here longer, and was assured that if the 145 didn't go to Houston that once my seat lock was up I would be able to then bid for a position in which ever aircraft would be based there if a position was available. I told this by Ron Graff and Linda Bannister while in the coffin size interview room. I just took it to heart.

After reading over it I have to say the CBA doesn't prohibit moving right seat to right seat. It just says the company doesn't have to do it. So saying that the only way you can move is you must move to higher pay might not hold. I guess it's just the company's decision. Like I said Ron Graff and Linda seem to think otherwise (as well as whoever the hell it was teaching indoc at the time).

for the millionth time! A 145 FO can not bid for 170 FO period! Likewise a 170 FO can not bid 145 FO! The only way you can change equipment regardless of FO or Capt. is if its for an increase in pay....hence a 170 captain can not bid 145 capt! And yes there is a two year seat lock for captains! Cha-ching for the company!

RTFC!!!! J/K ;)

yeah if your down for CMH! This is the place to be! All three Certificates have a CMH base! Go LSU!

they will tell you anything in the interview! Ask them if we're going to be flying 74s for Great Lakes and they would concur! And i guess the only way you could transfer right seat to right seat would be a displacement if and only if all of your current type were in the desert! But after what was learned here in 2001 with the SAABS, there would be "furloughs" insert the word fired out of seniority before they ever trained an FO twice on different equipment!

RTFC is good advice though if you're 250XXX or above. The 251's get some leeway...because, well, they're 251's....

My buddy SK might not be Captain Harth, but I would sure love to be a JSer on a flight with the two of them up front!
