you're on guard...
what's up with some of you guys? looks like you got that finger on comm 2 ready, and as soon as one makes an erroneus call on 121.5, sure enough, not even two seconds later: "you're on guard!". i think it's pretty annoying. people makes mistakes, and i'm sure they will eventually realize they are transmitting on the wrong frequency. just my .02 cents

i have yet to work for a regional that routinely monitors a guard frequency. at eagle (executive mind you not the real eagle) we always kept it on 128.85--the ops frequency for most of the out stations to get a hold of dispatch if we needed to, and here at chq its on atlanta radio. We only have two radios how do you guys monitor guard or do you not deal with a dedicated radio to talk to the company

The controllers don't realize that often its the radios that are messing up not the pilots. On the ATR I've been told many times that I'm talking on guard. Capt looks at me I look at him, we look at the radios and back at each other only to shrug our shoulders and be told we're still broadcasting on guard!
Ha, we've gone single comm over that before.
