been here almost 2.5yrs. I could hold a dtw CA line now, but will be on reserve approx a year in MEM fwiw...btw, I already have another app. just about ready to send off...I'm getting ready to bail 9e (I hope) for greener pastures. There's too much negativity and uncertainty here and who knows where/when it will end?

I'm curious to see what happens with DAL and NWA also. If DAL buys out NWA, I could see 9E coming out with more growth at the expense of Mesaba. A DAL+NWA would probably try to concentrate it's regional feed as much as possible into 900s into as few hubs as necessary...9E would be in a better position to suck feed from both Mesaba and DCA carriers...of course, nothing can happen until they at least have some friggin 900 rates. How can the majors even make decisions on who to send 900s to unless they know what it's gonna cost!!!

Why don't you wait to bail until you find out what's going to happen? IMHO having some TPIC (and a CRJ PIC type paid for by 9E) would make it infinitely easier to bail out if things go south. With that CRJ PIC type, you'd probably have no difficulty going straight to the left seat at Mesaba, from what I've heard.

Assuming you guys don't burn the place down by the end of '08, do you guys anticipate the current "upgrade as soon as you meet company mins" to continue?
And do you guys anticipate ever getting 900s on the NWA side? Or is that all going to XJ?
Seems like the 900 flying is going to be a slow development until they get the rates settled. Just wondering if 9E management smells the coffee and realizes they need to transition to the new world of >50 seat flying to survive, or if they'll stick with the -200 flying and your current payscale until there's nothing left but a certificate and some 200s in the desert.

Not to hijack the thread, but did you just attend class with me in Florida?
