You will always have a choice of base, regardless of Airline. The catch is, your seniority must be able to hold it :D. If you don't get what you want out of training, my guess is (I've been removed from Trans States for awhile now) you can hold it shortly.

You have a choice of either St. Louis or Richmond and everyone I know of has gotten their choice.

Everyone in the Dec and Jan class were granted their choice of domicile.

Which dom would be most desirable? Trying to think of places in STL that aren't too far from the airport and far away from...bad..places..

On the east side of st. louis is pretty nice, just go further east than the city of east st. louis. There is a metrolink (train) that goes directly to the airport (with a ton of stops). about a 30 - 45 min. drive if you live in Edwardsvile Ilinois area.

Thanks for that info I live in Boise and i'm trying to find a base from the midwest to the west.

if you're not from st louis you probably won't like it, but as it stands right now if you choose st louis as your domicile rather than richmond you'll get off reserve quicker.

When a commuter, proximity doesn't necessarily mean an easier commute. In this case, however, they are one and the same. STL would be far better to commute in and out of.
