Only for those with super seniority! Aka, all the Colgan guys hired on/and prior to Feb 2008. A majority (if not all) RJ Captains awards at Colgan are current Captains at Colgan. No upgrade for Colgan FO into jet. As for the rest, they are not touching any RJ left seats for a loooooooooong time.

And, I've calmed down a bit after taking in the one condition that SPECIFICALLY states:

If there are insufficient bidders for one pre-merger pilot
group for a posted vacancy on one side of the fence during
the five-year period, unfilled vacancies may be filled by pilots
from the other pre-merger airline[s] in seniority order.

The Saab is a 5 year fence. Colgan is already down to a May 2010 DOH for a Saab Captain. Won't be long until it hits June 30, 2010 DOHs. Once that's done, all pre-merger Colgan pilots will have bid (or not bid) for Saab Captain. At that point, this provision will kick in, and before ANY post-merger Colgan pilot (hired after June 2010) is awarded Saab Captain, all the pre-merger Pinnacle and Colgan pilots will be awarded the position.

The biggest reason I've calmed down is that I'm devoting all my time and energy on trying to get outta 9E. Applications take time, researching for open positions, etc. It's actually a healthier alternative.

I wouldnt say loooooooooong. 65 is almost upon us and we'll see 3-4yr FO's upgrading into your CRJs, I promise.

There are only 12 Colgan FOs that made it in the super seniority range (seniority in and under 1400s). All your other FOs are #2200+ and will not be upgrading into the RJs anytime soon, I promise. All pre-merger Pinnacle and Mesaba FOs in the 1500-2100 range will get to upgrade first into the RJs.
