Pinnacle Upgrade
APC says July 2007, I've heard it is in the 1-2 month range if you have the time.
|
A guy in my class went to upgrade class a couple weeks after initial checkride. He didn't even have the 100hrs in pinnacle aircraft.
|
What is the upgrade hour requirement at Pinnacle?
|
Checck out the profile page, there are a few different requirements...More total time, less company. Less total time, more with the company.
|
You need at least 100 hrs in PNCL, but if you never flew the CRJ don't expect to upgrade in less than 6 months. The People that upgrade that quick is because they have CRJ time like all the guys we are getting from COMAIR. 3500TT is the minimum which I think 2000 turbine you have to have at least.

The upgrade is still quick although there is now a minimum of 100 hours on PNCL A/C prior to upgrade regardless of TT. However, be careful about coming to PNCL before we get a contract. With everything that's going on now, it's a game of russian roulette... |
Last time I checked it was 1800 TT/1300 with the co....has that changed???

Then, you need to do at least 100 hrs with a Captain mentor. Then, once you get 2000 TT (and 1500 of that at Pinnacle), you can upgrade. |
My friend jsut met a girl from comair who went to PNCL for the short upgrade and didnt last 3 months bc of the horrible working conditions.......

How times change! I love this thread. Right now a July 2007 DOH is still a FO. March 2007 FOs got upgraded and then downgraded after the SLI and parking of the Saabs. Good stuff, eh?
|
9E upgrade times are really low if you come from 9L....

And, I've calmed down a bit after taking in the one condition that SPECIFICALLY states: If there are insufficient bidders for one pre-merger pilot group for a posted vacancy on one side of the fence during the five-year period, unfilled vacancies may be filled by pilots from the other pre-merger airline[s] in seniority order. The Saab is a 5 year fence. Colgan is already down to a May 2010 DOH for a Saab Captain. Won't be long until it hits June 30, 2010 DOHs. Once that's done, all pre-merger Colgan pilots will have bid (or not bid) for Saab Captain. At that point, this provision will kick in, and before ANY post-merger Colgan pilot (hired after June 2010) is awarded Saab Captain, all the pre-merger Pinnacle and Colgan pilots will be awarded the position. The biggest reason I've calmed down is that I'm devoting all my time and energy on trying to get outta 9E. Applications take time, researching for open positions, etc. It's actually a healthier alternative. |

Only for those with super seniority! Aka, all the Colgan guys hired on/and prior to Feb 2008. A majority (if not all) RJ Captains awards at Colgan are current Captains at Colgan. No upgrade for Colgan FO into jet. As for the rest, they are not touching any RJ left seats for a loooooooooong time.

I wouldnt say loooooooooong. 65 is almost upon us and we'll see 3-4yr FO's upgrading into your CRJs, I promise. ;)

Better hope ALPA nationals support of the age 70 rule doesnt go through...
|
For those drooling over jumping the fence into the SAAB left seat, I have one thing to say: enjoy DRT, AOO & CKB....

I'll take DRT, AOO, and CKB in the left seat of a Saab any day. |

I can't personally speak for DRT, but AOO and CKB are/were great overnights! You have to know all of the great little hole-in-the-wall type places to hang out at. (ie. JC Maxey's, El Rincon, and Brick House in CKB, and Dunderbach's, Olive Garden, and Hooters in AOO. Plus Hooters in AOO sells 6'ers!) If you are socially inept, I could see AOO and CKB overnights being a nightmare. However, if you aren't the "hermit" type and you're with the right crew, these places can be loads of fun!
Just my .02 cents... Laxrox43 |
Don't forget the bedbugs and 30+ minute nasty cab rides. Party on boys!!!
|
Gee you sound like the tool that cried "bed bugs" just to change hotels. Your initials wouldn't happen to be C.R. would they? Hired in August '09, fired shortly thereafter? We are all tired of your lies, and glad that you got canned for being a moron!

As opposed to PLN, AZO, and CKB? Because that's what I just recently did in the RJ from the right seat at 5th year pay.

You're not on vacation, you're at work. Who cares what takes you to the hotel? (I'll make an exception for the old GRK cab driver that almost certainly had to go door to door in his neighborhood and introduce himself by law. That and he once was late picking us up in the morning, which I can deal with, but he felt that the correct thing to do was drive 120 mph in his hot-rod cab. What was his name anyway, Ernie? Eli? Someone help me out here...) |

The AOO cab ride was better than any energy drink or coffee I've ever seen at waking you up for the early winter shows. Suddenly the redneck runs didn't seem so bad having survived that death race.

I find all the rants about GoJet amusing. No, I don't work there. There are VERY few on this board that actually know what went down in STL back in 2003/2004.
The lesson there in a nutshell: Don't let your union committees have too much free reign. Kinda like the 9E NC for the SLI |

It's the standard "5% of the people cause 95% of the problems".
Don't let the actions/inactions/words of a select few form the reputation for a group as a whole. Cheers mates! |
