Buncha Colgan haters up in here. Look at it as a means to an end. Newsflash.... Yeah one will not get rich working for Colgan comma but they will fly the blue juice out of you. Big difference between the $21 and $29 pay scale. Don't spend it all one place. You will get your Turbine PIC in minimal time. And that is what you need! That's what I tell myself when I have a less than perfect day flying in the NE. OBTW nice re-invention of verb conjugation Roper. "Jumpsat"=very smooth. It has been "broughten." Put it in Webster's! Keep your eye on the prize. Crazy Fools! W/Much LUV Toto

You could commute out of Detroit and work for Mesaba or Pinnacle(I'd go with the first one). Four flights a day. About an hour flight. Very junior base for both. Shouldn't be hard to get a commutable line there....or at least a line. Not as rough of a commute. Good luck to ya.

$21 vs. $29, whatever.

You apparently don't know what you are missing in work rules. :(

To the orig poster: have you considered CHQ? We've got a base in BUF that is pretty easy to get as an FO. Just a thought...

I thought about that by staying with Eagle, but right now I think my first priority is to be as close to home as possible and Colgan SYR is just that. Eagle would mean more time away and is that really worth it? Right now I have three weeks VAC with eagle (will have 4 in 2011 ) and the 401K I can bring with me....I quess Im really still thinking about what to do. There is a good freind of mine and capt. who commutes with Eagle and lives in ROC that Im going to talk to and see how his QOL was when he started. Im just trying to get as much insight as possible before making a choice.
