Where to go? What to do?

Im considering a few different plans right now and was wondering if I could get some input from all of you.

I live in Rochester NY and when Colgans crew base pulls out ROC we will have no crew bases anymore. The next closest (for my times) is SYR with Colgan 1 1/2 hour drive from my house. Piedmont in PHL or LGA and from ROC have about 6-8 flts a day to both LGA and PHL. Finally is Eagle (which I work for on the ground now for the past 7yrs) and would pick ORD since thats the only place Eagle flies to out of ROC with 4 flts a day and about 4 pilots do the commute right now. My biggest question is...with a family in ROC and not wanting to move anytime soon, what would be the best choice of those three airlines and bases. Which would give the best QOL? Im not conserned about flying one route all day, week, year like might happen with Colgan. I love to fly and just want to get going. I like Eagle but is it worth it to stay with them just b/c I have time? What about Piedmont...would it be easy to get to PHL or LGA (I know there a lot of ATC) What about their trips are they out and backs or overnights...4 on 3 off?

I hope in all my clutter I might be able to get some suggestions and help...thanks in advance!:D

Not that I'm an expert on Eagle, but I'd say from what's been said around here, the ERJ out of ORD would work well I would think - just a short time on reserve, and a relatively easy commute (not that any commute into ORD is "easy!")...

Unfortunately Piedmont doesn't have a Philly base anymore. However, I live in Buffalo and plan to commute to LGA for PDT once I hit the line (hopefully in a couple weeks.) One guy I know works for Eagle and absolutely hates commuting to LGA for his trips. On the other side, I know a few people at PDT who don't mind commuting. They still have a lot of day trips but with a crashpad it isn't that bad.

Pretty pathic when someone has to ask on a forum site what to do with his/hers life. Grow up and look in the mirror and ask yourself, what do I really want to do with my life....work for $hit pay?

I asked for advice in a different thread and they he trying responded in the same condecending way.

Unfortunately, there are more just like him here. Pay them no attention; even though they've been in the industry for quite some time, they actually know less than some regional F/O's.

Heed the constructive adivce here and you'll do fine.

Since "crewdog52" is an A-320 lineholder, maybe he should stick to the majors forum...........instead of cruising the regional threads for people to bully!!

It's like combing high schools for girls after you graduate........move on!!

Personally, I would go where the upgrade is the fastest.........it will give you the three things that you need in this career.........PIC Turbine, better pay as a captain, and the ability to move on to anything but the A-320..........it's for the special certificated jerks.

I think your spelling is more pathetic, unless of course you're going for this...

Path´ic (păth´ĭc)
n. 1. A male who submits to the crime against nature; a catamite.
a. 1. Passive; suffering.

Yeah I was wondering myself what "pretty pathic" meant:rolleyes:

Based on your options...I'd maybe go with Colgan and get that turbine PIC...maybe the hour drive to SYR

Why did you respond with such an ********* statement? Like others have noted, your IN THE WRONG FORUM and you cannot spell!! It's nice to see people like you get on here and act like you have never needed any help. You remind me of the 18-25 year old kids that go to middle school basketball games with cutoffs on. Always looking to be the tough guy around people half your size. A320s are cool, but give it up, YOUR NOT GOD. Help others out and stop bringing this forum down with your negativity.
