Yea it takes about 1-2 years to upgrade, another year for the thousand PIC and the resume sending process. Some have connections and leave, others stay for a few more years and leave. Folks here normally don't stay longer than 3-4 years. If you consider that a while.. then your answer is Yes... guys here 5-7 years are quite "senior".

Hope you get that tongue in cheek sarcasm..

Just look at the cars parked in the lot at the "homeboy". Not many cars means prob not that many folks. You should be able to tell by how busy things are at the CEC.

Sabo- If you have any questions I will be the first to offer up some help. I know the training dept leaves some to be desired.

Ken are you getting bored with airlinkpilots.com?
Are you even off of probation yet?

He said it was the worst training and the most unprofessional aviation experience he's had. He would of rather sat right seat at a good company then fly as a captain with PNCL. Some of the guys were good, but he said some of the pilots were the bottom of the barrel and he wouldn't want is family flying on the planes with the experience he had with them. Looks like a good opportunity though for quick PIC time.

No...your friend walked becasue he was going to fail his checkride...he was not prepared.

And, no offense, but unless the dude was a rotorhead, any Navy pilot with 4500 hours who took a job at 9E (and not SWA, CAL, DAL, and the list goes on) obviously had other issues going on in his life than 9E's training dept..

No..

500 hours in an FMS equipped glass cockpit airplane can make someone very profficient at programming the FMS, turning the AP on at 1000' and turning the AP off at 200'. If these pilots turn off the AP and standby the FD every now and again and fly some holds and approaches from enroute descent to the runway then maybe there is some correlation.
