Default ID90 Questions

Who exactly is eligible for an ID-90? Is it just employees and family or employee and a companion? My girlfriend and I are looking to take a trip and I am wondering if she is eligible to use the program. Also, ID-90 passengers are higher priority standby then regular non-rev passengers correct? Still standby but at a higher priority then a straight non-rev? Thanks!

ID90's are 90 percent off lowest Y (coach) fare to ride on other airlines. They are the lowest priority since same-airline employees go on first then other airlines. Your airline may also have a ID95 with the code share airline it is associated with. Even better are ZED fares. Your airline travel Dept. will have all the information on who can use what fare. Your airline may also let you put your girlfriend on a non-married life parter so she can travel on your passes.

Every airline is different, but you probably won't be able to get her an ID90 unless she's your designated domestic partner, and that's if your airline allows you to designate her as one, which is a big if at most airlines. Do you get buddy passes? Those work for almost anyone. If your airline doesn't go where you want to, maybe you could use a buddy pass to get part of the way there at least. But basically, consult your airline's travel manual or call your travel department.
