And why would there be an employee bus on the ramp? Can't say I've seen that.

It happened this morning, the bus driver drove by the aircraft while it was doing a cross bleed at the gate. The windows shattered while being blow out. Several people were taken to the hospital, none of the injuries were life threatening.

You must not be based in DTW. All of the employee buses except the non-AOA bus cross the ramp.

Original poster thought MSP, was corrected to DTW.

I have 4 problems with this:
1) Why would they be doing a crossbleed while still on the gate?
2) Why would the bus driver drive behind the aircraft with its engine(s) running?
3) How could a bus have gotten in the jet blast of a 900? The engines are awefully high?
4) Why would they have had the power up so high? Crossbleed on the 900 doesn't take much above idle thrust to get the required pressure. Usually about 69% N2
