A maintenance tech told me they have a nick name for E175s, they call them E180s for making a 180 turn to return to the gate soon after pushback.
That's what the folks at jetBlue were calling the E-190 until they got the various bugs fixed. Seems like the aircraft has improved it's reliability drastically, at least at jetBlue.

Why on the captains side is the symbol on the tail pointing to the northwest while the FO's side is pointing to the northeast. Story I heard was it looked better that way and was symmetrical side to side. Feel free to comment, flame, whatever

The symbol is always pointing forward. Kinda like how on the right side of a plane the American flag has the stars on the right side...
