Question Republic travel woes?

I have an interview with Republic scheduled next week and have been reviewing the gouges. Has pretty much everyone had traveling troubles on the way back from the interview?

I made my connections just fine. SMF-ORD-IND no bumps, IND-DEN-SMF no bumps. Out on a Sunday morning, back Monday afternoon.

It is a problem though if you get hired and are in training. They will only travel you to one of their bases - atleast that's how it is on the Republic side. This means that a lot of people have to find their own way home ie buy a ticket, drive or if you have your id you can jumpseat in the back of the airplane. I know you are not at that stage yet, but I thought I'd through that out there. Good luck!

I will agree the "travel policy" after you start training is stupid. But the posters question was to getting back home from the interview..... slight risk yes due to the fact that they do not use positive space either way but to my knowledge hasnt been a huge problem. That said, its not easy to always get ahold of the travel coordinator.... those that work in the corp golden dome tend to NOT answer their phones.

When I came back from their interview, I got bumped up to first class. Not a bad day for me.

With it being spring break, planes are full these days. Good luck and do not let traveling to and from get you down. I hope you join our fine group.

i had a night mare of a time getting to the interview. A lousy gate agent in philly spent the last 15 minutes prior to boarding gabbing to a flight attendant instead of working her gate waiting for late passengers to arrive. I then got bumped out of the jumpseat on the 730 flight and was placed on a 900 flight that was delayed a few hours. I didnt get to the hotel untill 2 am.

Not to hijack but a quick question for those who interviewed...about how long was it before you heard anything? I've heard some people find out same day not long after interviewing, not sure if this is that typical or not. Thanks.
