no, most telephone agents have no problem listing with just your name and phone number. I ask to be listed as a jumpseater and do not really care about how I end up listed so long as the gate agent types my name and I pop up. I was told it cost money once and after a brief dialogue it was taken care of. The gate agent will verify all docs and handle the rest.
Disclaimer: unless you are a pilot then you are not even getting through security. The gate agents are dilligent in ensuring they verify all of the various things they are required to verify.
