Hey I was wondering if anybody knows if Republic has EFB's, From what I understand the shuttle side has them, or is getting them, or something. I was also wondering if anybody has any tips on there interviews, I got one coming up at the end of the month. Also I really want the 170 on the shuttle side so I can be Chicago based, but I am only 20 years old with 1100 total time and around 850 121 turbine time, just kinda wondering if being only 20 is gona hurt me any.
Thanks

I don't think we actually have EFBs on property yet (someone correct me if I'm wrong). But Shuttle is supposed to be the first to get them. If you already have 850 turbine 121 you should be fine regardless of age. (insert "oh my god why are you at an airline when you are that young, go to college and have fun, you are too immature to fly at an airline" bull**** here)

Haha you sound like me two years ago. 20 at Mesa wondering what the hell I did with my life. I moved on to Chautauqua and things are better... not perfect... but night and day compared to Mesa. I'm finishing up my degree online at Embry Riddle. Its an ok program if you are already at the airlines, they will even give you credit for your ratings. http://www.erau.edu/ec/alldegrees.html I'm sure there are tons of guys that will say get a degree outside of aviation, which you might want to consider. This is just one option.

If I had to do it all over again I probably would have still came to the airlines when I did, I just wouldn't have went to Mesa. PM me if you have anymore questions.

dont start a degree thats "easy"... get somethings that practical. No matter how good the economy is you should always have a backup plan that will allow you to MAINTAIN your quality of life, not make it suffer cause you got a degree in underwater basketweaving....

more importantly get a degree in something that interests you. You will be more likely to stay "current" and somewhat active on a subject matter if you care about it. A degree will be close to useless if you aren't active in that field for 10 years. Things in the world change quick and you will forget what you learn if you never use it.
