Just curious how you are doing W/B via ACARS; I recently rode up-front on a RW E170 and it was still all whiz-wheel and paper. At JB I do the W/B on the laptop and then the CA sends the CG, weights, etc. to dispatch over the ACARS. Is it something similar to that?
Same system that Frontier and AirTran uses. |
Thanks for the info guys. By contrast, we actually complete the W/B on the laptops; the module takes inputs for bags, pax, weather, rw/sid etc and returns with V-Speeds, Flap and Trim Setting, Flex Temp etc. The Captain sends this info as an ACARS report as info-only to our SOC; every time I plug into JetBlue's computer network the info is down-loaded from my computer to a company server. Always interesting to learn how different companies skin the same cat.

GWood still flying the Beech Nasty at AirMudDust...in my Oct class we had some youngins so no worries about age, from what I have been told Republic will be testing the W&B and it is already on 2 aircraft eventhough no info has been sent out yet....who knows I just can't wait to be rockin the EFB...the 45# brick of a bag I carry is getting old. Being a Nebraska rat I would have though Denver would have been more appealing than the Windy City...ah well

More like AIRBIGMESS, but yea, it sucks. Yea I really wanted Denver but from what I understand its pretty senior. I what to go where I can get a line pretty fast and still have a easy commute. How do you know im from nebraska?
