Default Point made.

All doubt removed. Seems to be an impressive airplane. I am glad to see more high performance, modern turboprops coming to the US.

I sympathize with many of the "irregularities" on the Q400. The Saab 2000 has a quirky rudder auto-trim and you soon learn to relax all pedal pressure shortly after takeoff or enter into battle with the auto-trim. I guess this system is probably necessary on both aircraft due to the copious amounts of torque (or drag) produced by those huge engines and props. In cruise / descent the auto-trim is able to keep up fairly well as long as power changes are not too abrupt.

The Saab also "corrects" the speed tape to "Vmo" limited near 10,000/250kts. This is aggravating at times when stuck at 10,000 for extended periods.

I agree it is nice to fly a plane that can hold 250kts to near the marker and still make the first turn off.

Although not a 121 aircraft, IMO the king of the turboprops is (will be) the Airbus A400M. What a monster... The TU-114/116 comes to mind, also.
