Well, I am fully expecting to be chastised here, but I'm desperate. I was planning on applying to ASA, but now that their freezing hiring, I don't know what to do. I'm sitting on about 300 TT, 150 PIC, and only about 30 ME. I'm not extremely picky, but I'm looking for a decent QOL (meaning decent by Regional Airline Standards) I'm fully expecting to get crushed on this one, but I'm hoping someone has something useful for me.

with his current times, it'd be difficult to get on with TSA. Have a friend with 900/20, who had been doing some instructing/charter work, but was instructed to "get some more multi" before applying, even with 900 total, they wanted 40-50 multi.

We aren't ruling that out, she is finishing up her degrees this semester in forensic science and biology. We are looking for a little warmer, plus the housing market isn't exactly in the tank in the upper midwest like it is the rest of the country. Not trying to be too picky but considering all things. Gotta get the tickets first in order to start instructing and not looking to spend a full semester per rating and a ******* ton of money at UND trying to do it.

I've learned more in the last year and a half than I did through college, in terms of flying. Considering I knew almost nothing about airplanes, or the industry in general, it is amazing what instructing will do for you.
I have one student with an attitude that saddens and disturbs me. He is openly looking for the first place that will say yes to flying. Yeah, he is the oldest of my students, but he has openly admitted he doesn't care much about the situations of the industry and where it is going. He only wants to get paid to fly and avoid any kind of time building (especially instructing). Honestly, about a year ago, I thought about doing something similar and jumping to the airlines after I graduated. The more I did research and listened to what people said here and elsewhere, I realized I would be doing myself a disservice to not build a little more time. I honestly wasn't ready at 400 hours and even now, I know I can handle it, but its a strange thought to think about.
