Colgan, TSA, CHQ, Republic, PSA, PDT, AWAC, MESA...did I forget anyone? I don't think they need any more regional carriers, I think they would try and fill Mesa's hole with carriers they already have.

There is no shortage of groups to whipsaw, especially with two separate wholly owed carriers.

The number of carriers is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Whoever takes the lead in the race to the bottom after MAG folds would get the flying. TSA... Pinnacle... Colgan...? Who wants it guys... how cheap will you work for that "quick" upgrade?

it would be nice if something like that went to AWAC... a change from the East Coast scenery would be nice.

I tired of the East coast 121 flying in about 6 weeks...

I love flying up here and living up here. Would only leave for a gig on a island. Or the ability to commte to an island. It does rain A LOT though.

Hey, I'm just voicing my opinion. It's really more of what I would want to happen than what I think will happen. If I want to dream of PDT and AWAC getting more airways flying instead of Skywest, well I don't think I'm alone. The number of carriers is not irrelevant to me, if they add another new carrier to replace Mesa, that just means the companies already working for airways didn't get the flying, and that I disagree with (which really doesn't matter, because they aren't going to ask either of us what we think about it).

True, we just fly an airplane, we have no influence.

BTW, I'm OK with anyone getting the flying as long as Orenstein gets the boot and is hopefully permanently banned from operating another carrier.

Yes...the very best outcome of this debacle would be that JO never be free to destroy an Airline again.

I think he is pretty much persona-non-grata in the mainstream airline industry...you won't see him at a big-name carrier. But I wouldn't rule out some start-up...he was buddies with Branson at one point.
