P.S. A Capt. from a ANG unit was the first to be cut loose although 4 of us followed within about 10 minutes.

Anyone cut loose has not passed (less than 70%) on the technical test or did poorly on the Wonderlic test.

Republic is hiring....FOR A POOL. Nobody in the pool, unless there is new business will probably see a class until after the summer.

I know it's hard for people to get used to the 2003/04 hiring feel again when airlines weren't hiring 700+ in a year, but it's a cycle.

The hiring process doesn't discriminate based on experience when more experinced pilots don't study and think they can show up unprepared and walk out with a job. And then 800 hour CFI's blow you out of the water and only miss 2 questions. (Who wants the job more?)

Holy Toledo: Great point. I flew for RAH for 5 years and they have one of the easiest interview processes, but I wouldn't pass the interview today without at least a little prep. Guys need to realize it IS an interview.

Amen to that! If one is bitter about the Republic interview, one needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves why they didn't prepare for it!

Some friends and I were sharing interview stories. One guy told of a squadron mate that went to an interview. This guy forgot the in brief (or is it called overview?) was part of the "process". When they split up to start paperwork, pee in the bottle, etc. he was handed his stuff and thanked for showing up!! Say it with me now.......OUCH!!!!!!
