Are there any pinnacle new hires? Please PM me.

Avoid Pinnacle until we get a contract. I know I sent you what I know and I will try and be nice.

I have a friend getting ready to leave the Navy.. he asked about PNCL.. With the current industry problems, is PNCL still giving faily quick upgrades to high time pilots? I understand the company has lots of problems, so will the new contract help fix some of this if it's approved?

Impossible to answer.

In theory, a new contract should have better pay and better QOL.Keep in mind that there is no new contract and any info about what will be in the new agreement is heresay and should be taken witha huge grain of salt.

Yes, the most junior captains on both the -200 and -900 are 1200 seniority numbers out of 1400 total.

With 3500TT you could get a quick upgrade but you are looking at at least 2 years before an OK QOL if you upgrade quick. On the FO side it takes about 6-8 months to start getting OK schedules and by a year you are holding good schedules. I have been able to hold 18 off and weekends since about 14 months into it but I am an FO. If I were to upgrade right now I would most likely be on reserve but a bottom line would be in sight. I cannot guarantee that the upgrades will stay the way they are. Many are not upgrading immediately (when they hold good FO seniority and can hold a bottom CA line) because of QOL. I have flown with CA's Junior to me and they are not happy people. If we get a fair contract I could see many upgrade and it will become a seniority issue for a junior person coming here for a quick upgrade. Many new FO's are going to ATL fwiw. Stay away until we get a contract. An extra few months waiting on an upgrade is not a big deal.

exactly. i have been here for about 2 and half years, have around 1800 hours at pinnacle and over 3200 total time. but like higney said i am not putting in for upgrade till i am solid into the line holder side on captain. i could hold a line in dtw but still about 6-7 away from holding a line in mem (mem is the most senior base). so i am just enjoying my 18 days off this month and not letting the quick upgrade trap me into the poor qol that reserve brings at pinnacle, been there and done that. unless something crazy happens there will always be upgrades at pinnacle. infact once again on the last bid there were captain vacancies that went unfilled.

I don't want to call you out Higney, but...I don't see how you can hold 18 days off and weekends? I think you might be embellishing a bit.

Anyways, the only thing that matter is Pinnacle is a dump. DO NOT GO THERE PEOPLE!!!! Being on reserve at Pinnacle is like being in San Quentin.

You can CHECK OUT. BUT YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE. Simply the BEST. ST*D

News Flash! Let's all just give up people! It seems as if EVERY regional airline is a dump according to some people. Is there anything positive I have gotten out of this forum, maybe about 0.5% Everything else is negative. What a load! I visit this forum less and less everyday based on all the negativity! For those of you that don’t like what’s going, find another job, shut up, or better yet, contribute by portraying a better image for those who actually want to pursue a career in aviation.

Do not listen to this advice, if you need a regional job go to Pinnacle now and get your seniority especially with fuel the way it is. Moral may me low there, but it will come around probably before if not a year after you get off probation.

Seniority is everything, get it while you can.
