Spend 5K on getting your MEI, the experience is priceless. Besides do you really think your ready to fly a jet in and out of ORD with less than 300 hours? Do your future Capt'n a favor and get some experience so he does not feel alone up there.

I'm assuming they only send pilots with less than 750tt to this training in florida. It's either at flight safety or Regional airline academy. It all depends on the captains review board and what they think about your interview process and logbook times. ???

Pilot84,
I think the question you are posing should be to yourself. Do I want to fly for an airline? If yes, then spend a little more than what you have probably spent already (like the rest of us) and then, not have to pay for flying again.
And what you really need to marvel at is the fact that you are so close with such low time. Seize the moment. All the other pointers about getting instructor ratings is something you can entertain if you don't get hired now, and are waiting years for the next hiring boom.
Respectfully,
Apollo

Way to go and build up his confidence there, buddy...And for the record, I am not a fan of low-timers in the 121 environment, but that, like all of yours, is just an opinion.

It all depends on the captain's review board. Typically, if you have less than 100 multi, you go to FL. Almost everyone I know that went down there (about 10 people so far) has less than 100 multi with various total times (500-1200).

When i interviewed i had less than 100 multi and 550 TT. i was given a conditional offer good until may under the stipulation that i get 100 multi. I have over 700 tt and just over 100 multi and i am under the impression that i won't have to go to the regional transition class. they said that i'm good for the may 12th class.

The flying isn't the tough part, it's the radio-work! And if I could do it (I was useless the first three legs on IOE into ORD LoL), then anybody can.
