Why not FIOA (freedom of information act) the ATC facilities you talked to ?

Hadn't thought about that, Tony...would a simple call to tower or center facilitate that??

Call the affected facility's Quality Assurance department, and tell them the frequencies and times that you intend to FOIA. That way they'll save the tapes (hopefully) until they actually receive the FOIA.

Then ask them who to contact to file your FOIA (usually a regional FAA office).

What airport did you land at?
