All I got to say is that Pinnacle is not in good shape. Only 50 seaters in the NW side, and only a few 900 (not doing so well) in the Delta side. On time performance this year in the pooper, a strike knocking on the door and at the bottom of the priority list of NW. NW will be busy with their own babies, Mesaba and Compass. Wish us luck !

Compass will not be sold the chances are Mesaba and Compass will merge. Mesaba's 200 will go away and it will be a 3 aircraft airline with no 50 seaters. It will probably have 90 76 seat A/C and 50 SF340.
one would hope with the very junior lists for each side some kind of agreement could be reached and the lists could be fairly integrated.

no matter who buys whom....if any... I would doubt you will see a stapling of any seniority lists.

Why? Has nothing to do with staple. With Compass and RAH flying E-Jets for DAL it's easier to use them against one another. Just as DAL/NWA will be stronger in a merge so would RAH if it purchased Compass. Both pilot groups would benefit from it. If Compass forces RAH into a bidding war then the rock bottom prices equal rock bottom contract pay. We're in negotiations and I'd like to not see someone else used as a reason for us to not get top pay.

Taxes will fall to only 5 percent of earnings, world hunger will end, and Oprah will keep the weight off.

You can now go back to your regularly scheduled program.
Now that's funny! I don't care who you are! Good luck to all. This next year or two should prove to be very interesting to say the least.

i believe compass was created with the clause that it can be sold after a certain number of e175s are on property.

it is merely a creation, in my opinion, as a bargaining tool to get around scope clauses.

take a little from pilots now and a little more later.

it was created to eventually allow 70+ seats on property that aren't flown by the big boys

i am at RAH and i feel compass would come here before it gets merged with mesaba.

I just can't wait to get my new Comsabaconnectlink uniform!! I wonder what the colors will be--maybe blue with black and alternating gold and silver stripes???

I am just glad to have a little senority on the mighty Saabomatic as it will be an interesting year or two.

I really don't how these should be affected other then being painted Delta Connection colors. I would want as many regionals flying for me as possible so that no one feeder company has control. I wouldn't put too much thought into it.

You guys can put your crystal balls down; I'm here to tell you what will happen:
After NWA & DAL merge, I will buy Compass. After taking the seats out of their airplanes, it'll be time for a demolition derby in the 30 pad at IAD! A $395 entry fee will get you in the cockpit with the chance to win $1K in prize money if you're the champion.
