Hi!

AA terminal in DFW, you need to have a "Gate Pass" to get through security unless you fly for a 121 carrier that regularly flies in to that airport (or terminal, in the DFW case).

When that happens, go to the next security point. I haven't had it happen in quite some time in DFW.

i know at a lot of small airports like jhw or cho they want you to have a boarding pass...

Its unfortunate that TSA being a government agency, you cant argue with them or you end up in trouble... its like the military, if they think you are wrong, even if you are right you are wrong... Sad to see that this is a problem...

Is there any word on whether or not crewpass is something that is being SERIOUSLY considered? or is it just an idea ALPA is trying to push?

HercDriver130 04-20-2008 04:48 AM

I commute out of a small airport...GPT, and the other day,,, IN uniform...with a seat request ticket, AND my crew badge.... i was nearly denied entry into the airport because they didnt recognize the company name... RAH/Shuttle.... I just about blew a gasket....unbelievable....

Sheesh, you guys can be brutal!!

I've never had a problem with this issue... isn't TSA (and Customs) supposed to be kind to crewmembers who they absoluely KNOW are just trying to get to work??

Ok,
After 1 infraction and about 6 deleted posts we have this cleaned back up. Keep in mind when posting that although you may feel something you see is deserving of an infraction, your retaliatory replies to that user may very well earn you one as well. If something is offensive to you, just report it and one of the mods will handle it.

If the TSA had the same discipline, screening and training programs as the military, many of their organizational problems would not exist. They are both govermental agencies but IMHO the similarity stops there.
