we still have 205 aircraft with CAL and a minimum of 10 with Delta making a profit. we could potentially cut our losses on branded, furlough 400-500 pilots and be profitable that quarter or the next. Any airline pilot should be worried about their job right now. Its a bad time to be at the bottom of any seniority list. Jim Cramer thinks two legacy airlines are going to be in bankruptcy protection by years end. Bankruptcy protection means they get to revisit their contracts with suppliers. NOBODY is safe.

xjt pilots are a pawn in the bigger picture but are no worse or better off then any regional pilot right now.

Unfortunately not. We have shrunk. SkyWest took 4 or so 700's and an untold number of 200's, probably around 10. Add the 8 700's from Comair for a net loss of around 6 airplanes, in addition to 12 ATR's we are losing starting this summer. Not to mention the broken promises of 900's that were originally marked with ASA stickers and reg's, now flying in ATL with SkyWest stickers. Add the closing of the beloved SLC base.

ASA is much better under SkyWest management. I'm very happy to be owned by SkyWest and have a SkyWest president now at the helm. But to say that we have grown is not true...definitely have been shrinking.

Our new scope clause also allows SkyWest to keep taking our airplanes, and I don't feel the language is strong enough.

JA has said the deal WILL NOT happen while that clause is in place.

I understand that but he is not going to get it for free. He is required to negotiate it per the RLA.

They won't be your XR orders once you are owned by Skywest, this was the same case with ASA.

ASA had nothing to negotiate with... We do.

For uninformed. They are "XR orders" in name only. Embraer hs no interest in spooling up the XR line again. They'd much rather convert those to larger equipment.
