when I flew the 727 ,for a soon to be defunct non-sched, the variety of the flying, everything from sports teams, Marines, to convicts ensured never a dull moment. One days mission would take us to Venezuela, the next to LAX, throw the classic 727 on top of that,it was great, great fun while it lasted.

Some people seem to like it
I was not happy bouncing between the same two cities 8 or 9 times a day. The whole process lacked the creative outlet that other forms of flying offered.
In time it all began to blur into endless strings of three and four day trips. Same hotels. Same approaches. ILS to ILS. Like the movie Groundhogs Day. You even wear the same clothes every day.
Some people like that kind of programed and scripted life and I would have continued to do it to, but to be bored and poor is too much to ask. Oh yea,, and I also got laid off.

After about 6 months it's just a job, becomes routine, and indeed extremely boring. Everything is very rote, rehearsed, and repetitive. It's a cubical with a changing view. We are corporate drones, just like all the other office sheep. We like to think we are different, but really it's not all that dissimilar.
Quote: "So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
P.S. "We need to talk about your TPS reports."

All of that aside, IF I were to get bored, I would rather get bored in a cockpit than get bored in a cubicle any day. Enough said.
