Default ATP Written???

Ok, I am studying for my ATP written. I just need help to clarify on something. How many different ATP written tests can you take? After looking at the book, it looks like there are a few different ones. I see matter relating to an ATP 121, ATP 135, Flight Engineer and Dispatcher. Do I tell them which one I like to take? Do I study only the parts that relate to ALL and the 121 because that is what I am taking it for? Just curious because I have my test next week! Thanks in advance!

121 or 135 as far as Im concerned. Both satisfy the ATP written requirement.

The ATP is offered in both 135 and 121. You can choose either one. If you are flying 121, you are more familiar with 121 regs, so that one would make more sense for you. The Flight Engineer written is not an ATP.

Do yourself a big favor and buy the Sheppard Air program....www.sheppardair.com

5 days of 2-3 hours of study and I got a 99, took me 20 minutes to take the test. I skipped all the flight planning problems, didn't even look at those.

allatps.com has a great quick course too. Showed up at 8am to study the material, took the test at 2pm, out the door by 3pm with a 96 on the test.

Sheppard Air is the way to go. Studied the day before - took 20 min on the test and got a 91. And they guarantee you'll pass.

I concur...Sheppard Air is the key. And the memorization aid on their website is gold...I spent 15 hours studying over 5 days. Proctor couldn't believe it only took 25 minutes for the test--and I double-checked each question. I completely overstudied. Could have easily passed in a fraction of the study time. But my ATP practical guy was pretty impressed with my 100% score...so I think he throttled back his oral as a result.

Basically, the idea is to memorize all 700 of their test bank questions (and the right answers). I did not see any questions on my written that I didn't see with their prep program.

It will not necessarily help you learn the material, but it will absolutely get you through the test.

I did the allatps course, didn't study at all beforehand. Started at 8am, was out by 1pm with a 90. If you have the time do the Sheppard but if you only want to spend 4 or 5 hours (and $300) then go to allatp.
