Comair, hands down. Keep in mind stable and quick upgrade are not the same. However we are running 1 class a week of 12 people (and eventually hiring 300) republic is cancelling classes and are in the middle of contract negotiations

Stable Regional = Oxymoron

True....very true

In the past I would have said Horizon hands down. But with a possible total loss of 17 airframes it could mean furlough. But management likes to state that we will lose pilots to attrition, but where are they gonna go?!

Most Unstable Right Now.....

......would be ones canceling classes in progress and upgrades.

im guessing that the most stable would be either piedmont or commutair. you never hear anything about them changing. now if thats good or bad who knows...

Kunpeng airlines. They're hiring like crazy and business keeps booming for them.

Ask Air Wisconsin about the most stable regional, they were untouchable out of denver with the BAE Jet. Ask Express Jet about the most stable regional, they were Continentals baby, with a flow through. Bottom line it is not stable, not at this level in the game. Roll the dice. Something to consider is cash in the bank, in a market of liquidity problems cash becomes king.

Best of luck in your search.

this is the correct answer.

Yeah but are you guys hiring for growth or attrition? I find it hard to believe that given the state of the industry you guys are gonna pick up an additional 300 pilots on top of hiring 12 month. Saying somthing like "Hands Down" comes off as a little Koolaid-esque. You must be new :D.

Side Note...AWAC is pretty stable.....at least until 2013 when everyone gets furloughed

Comair at the moment is overstaffed. Most FO's on reserve sit around doing nothing all month. Captains on the other hand are short staffed. Attrition has all but stopped now that no one is hiring. Rumors out there are we are going to receive growth, and in the latest bid packets said the new hire classes were for attrition and "possible growth." When was the last time Comair and Delta spent money (train pilots) when they didn't have to?
