Definitely! Are you painting a sarcastic view of the stagnation at Horizon or is that really how it works? Why the...why would you guys agree to that in your contract?

There is no sarcasm my friend. . .

That's really how it works. The rhyme and reason of how a Horizon FO ends up in the seat he/she ends up in is a mystery. . .but the pay is Seniority based. I'm in the Q400, but an FO who has been with the company longer than I but sits right seat in the Q200 might make more than I, and the same goes for an RJ FO junior to me. . .they may make less than I.

Another backa$$wards deal with our payscale is the CRJ-700 Captains do make more, yet the Q400 has more seats. I guess it's because the Q4 has propellers.

Colgan has done nothing but post (through Pinnacle Holdings) continual losses. They may seem stable because their taking delivery of the Q400 but the reality is they're simply trying to revamp their business plan because the one they have is not working.

Majority of companies have been posting continuing losses over the past six months. Losses don't always equal stability.

That is the very DEFINITION of stable.
The word "stable" has neither a positive nor a negative connotation per se. It is simply an unchanging condition.

There is no such thing as a stable job anywhere. Bear Stearns is an example...a rock of stability since 1923, wiped out in a few days. The best advice is to keep yourself healthy, diversify your skills, keep a positive outlook, and do what you love to do. Oh and don't go to Mesa or Gojets...

After the nuclear fallout clears and the ice age ends there will be one airline still hanging on.

Great Lakes flying 1900s. When GLA goes away I would start to worry. Cockroaches don't die.

Agreed. This is the truth.

What do you mean?.........I always thought of Great Lakes as one of the next to shut down...something like Big Sky or Boston Miane. Am I missing something?

Well, yeah. They've got the EAS market more or less cornered, they're turning a halfway-decent profit on their flying, and they've shown an instinct for survival at all costs that puts trapped coyotes to shame. That, and their planes burn less gas than anyone else's. They'll be around for a while.
